UFC Fight Night 124 co-main event fighter Jessica-Rose Clark’s house was burgled — resulting in a loss of $30,000 worth of stuff — and cat was put down (after getting kicked by a burglar) just days before her second Octagon bout. Jessica-Rose Clark had to deal with a house burglary just a few days out from her Sunday co-main event fight against Paige VanZant at UFC Fight Night 124.
The UFC women’s flyweight revealed in a series of tweets on Thursday that a group of people broke into her house (shared with a roommate) and stole TVs, guitars, video games, DVDs, and more, valued at $30,000.
Along with the stolen stuff, Clark’s one-year-old cat, Dwight, was kicked so hard that his rib cage was damaged and his intestines were pushed into his chest cavity, per Clark. Clark initially said her pet had to undergo surgery, but Dwight had to since be put down.
Someone just broke into my house, stole all my housemates stuff, trashed the whole place, stole clothes and shoes from me Wtf man.— Jessy Jess (@missjessyjess) January 11, 2018
They also kicked our cat and smashed his rib cage and it has pushed his intestines up into his chest cavity. He has to have surgery and we don’t know what’s going to happen yet https://t.co/lqlY8d4efH— Jessy Jess (@missjessyjess) January 11, 2018
Clark described the group of burglars as “at least 3 people, one small female with her hair in a bun, reddish-blonde and two men.” She said the group had a white sedan and “possibly” a grey truck.

At least 3 people, one small female with her hair in a bun, reddish-blonde and two men. One white sedan and possibly a gray truck with them.— Jessy Jess (@missjessyjess) January 11, 2018
Hours after Clark’s initial tweets, she announced that Las Vegas police had already launched — or planned to launch — an investigation.
THANK YOU to everyone who RT my cat and robbery post. Fox5 Vegas got involved and now the police are launching a full investigation. $30k+ worth of stuff stolen and a beloved pet gone. Stuff doesn’t matter, I just want to see them punished for what they did to poor Dwight — Jessy Jess (@missjessyjess) January 12, 2018
Former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett sent out a tweet in support of Clark and her roommate, telling people who live in the Las Vegas area to keep their eyes open at pawn shops and on classifieds advertisements website Craigslist.
Vegas peeps. Keep your eyes peeled at the Pawnshops & on Craigslist for @missjessyjess & roommate’s stuff.[Look out for 2 PS4s, a black Wii, N64 Games, 2 guitars and a bass, 9mm Baretta hand gun, a shit ton of video games, a ton of POPS, Blu-rays.] https://t.co/qVdBJVVowe— Josh Barnett (@JoshLBarnett) January 11, 2018
Clark is 1-0 in the UFC; she made her debut last November in her native Australia and picked up a decision win over Bec Rawlings. VanZant has not fought since a first-round submission loss to Michelle Waterson in December 2016.
UFC Fight Night 124 takes place at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri on Jan. 14. In the main event, Jeremy Stephens faces rising featherweight Doo Ho Choi.
